Supporting DoD Engineers with Expeditionary Planning Tools

GeoExPT is integrated as a plugin within Autodesk’s AutoCAD Map 3D software and provides automated support for contingency beddown planning and sustainment operations including aircraft parking and Airfield Damage Repair (ADR). AutoCAD Map 3D provides the geospatial map representation of an installation location and allows planners to site adapt plans based on Common Installation Picture (CIP) and Geographic Information System (GIS) datasets.

As a decision support tool, planners are able to build contingency beddown plans, aircraft parking plans, manage airfield damage, and select Minimum Airfield Operating Surfaces (MAOS) in accordance with USAF standards. GeoExPT includes templates, advanced placement and layout tools, constraints analysis, predefined units, sets, components, aircraft, and reports.

GeoExPT provides three major areas of functionality:

Beddown Planning

GeoExPT provides civil engineers and logistics planners with tools that allows them to establish the design and plan for sustainment of expeditionary bases.

Aircraft Parking

GeoExPT gives users the ability to automatically create parking plans based on established aircraft parking standards and Air Force Instruction (AFI) guidelines.

Airfield Damage Repair

GeoExPT provides situational awareness tools for identifying, assessing, tasking, and overall management of airfield damage repair activities.
